Morning! If you’ve been following here, you’ll know I’m publishing the whole of my book on writing – From Writing With Love, FREE on the website. It’s written in 7 PARTS.
Today in Part 5 of From Writing With Love – FREE here, (keep scrolling down) I talk about the meaning of success, about re-defining what success meant for me, about how to banish failure and deal with rejection, compiling your own writer’s manifesto, celebrating what we do, and winning the Costa prize – I hope you enjoy it…
Happy reading and writing…
This morning I set off out for a walk over the fields above my house, but I quickly ran into a few others with the same idea, despite the remoteness of where we live. I got cold feet, came home and sat in the garden instead. I really welcomed its peace. Whenever I feel in danger of being overwhelmed, as I did yesterday, I go out into the garden – I’m lucky to have one, I know, and sit and breathe the air.
Now, I’m so grateful that last year in the autumn we spent more time than usual tidying up the garden (it’s only small) and I went out every day for a week to plant tulip bulbs, despite my creaky, old back. We are going to appreciate those tulips so much this year.
Take care everyone and remember – Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful ~ Buddha
