I’m currently busy putting together my new book on writing – From Writing With Love . I’m revisting my newsletters and blog posts but also writing new stuff. I’m thinking a lot about writing: how I do it, what I’ve learned, how I can share it with you, why I love writing so much, the joy writing can bring all of us and crucially how not to fall out of love with writing or worry too much about success or so called failure. Here’s a paragraph from my introduction which will give you a clue as to the kind of book I hope it will be:
This is not a ‘how to,’ book – it will not tell you how to write your novel or your short story, how to get an agent or how to win a prize. I have no wish to set myself up as some kind of expert on writing. What I hope to do in these pages is to help you become the best writer you can be and better still help you celebrate and enjoy with me this wonderful writing life.
I hope to have it finished before Xmas and that it will be available by then or early Jan 2014 – in the meatime it’s an exciting, enjoyable task and I’m loving tackling it.
